Mrs. Heather Walsh, Poplar Grove Principal

Mrs. Heather Walsh has worked in the North Boone School District for 10 years. She received her undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from Northern Illinois University in Dekalb, IL, a Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction, and a Masters Degree in Administration and Supervision from National Louis University in Wheeling, IL. Prior to becoming an administrator, Mrs. Walsh taught 7th grade science for six years at North Boone Middle School. In addition to being the Poplar Grove Principal, she also serves the District as the Science Coordinator and as the Crisis Plan Information Officer.

She resides in Loves Park, IL with her husband Denny, and her children Brooklynn and Mason. In her free time, she enjoys working out, watching her children play club soccer and basketball, and reading. She is looking forward to an amazing year and and finding ways to showcase the great things happening at Poplar Grove Elementary.
