During renovation work at Manchester Elementary School last week, crews made an exciting and unexpected discovery hidden inside a wall in the school's main lobby: a time capsule from the 1995–1996 school year.
The time capsule, carefully tucked away more than 30 years ago, offers a fascinating glimpse into the daily life and spirit of Manchester Elementary during the mid-1990s. Inside were a variety of keepsakes, handwritten notes, school memorabilia, documents, newspaper clippings, and other artifacts that capture a moment in time for the students and staff who once walked the school's halls.
Even the wall surrounding the capsule told its own story, with signatures, names, and messages left behind by those involved in the school's construction and renovation decades ago.
