A stunning new mural now graces the side of the North Boone High School Auxiliary Gym, creating a vibrant landmark that celebrates Viking pride and our school community.

The project began on June 6 and was completed on June 23 by talented Rockford mural artist Brett Whitacre. Known for his large-scale public artwork throughout Northern Illinois, Whitacre transformed the gym wall into an eye-catching masterpiece that will inspire students, staff, and visitors for years to come.

The mural is more than just paint on a wall—it is a symbol of the pride, spirit, and community that make North Boone special. We encourage everyone to drive by North Boone High School and see this incredible work of art in person.
